about us

The Howl Mag is the official arts and culture publication of Woodsworth College at the St. George campus of the University of Toronto.

We publish written and visual work online weekly, and we produce one print issue per year.

Although we are a Woodsworth affiliated club, students from any college or faculty are greatly encouraged to join the Howl, run for Masthead positions, and contribute their work!

The Howl Mag is a publication that creates content about U of T and Toronto, but also about the world of arts and culture as a whole. On our website, we divide this content into three categories: Thoughts, Sights, and Sounds.

Thoughts: The Thoughts section of the Howl Mag is where you’ll find thinkpieces, personal essays, book reviews, creative writing, and any other general written content.

Sights: The Sights section of the Howl Mag is the place for anything visual: photography, visual art, graphic designs, and written articles about the arts are all welcome here.

Sounds: The Sounds section of the Howl Mag is the spot for playlists, concert reviews, music discussions, and any writing about the auditory world.

For more information about the Howl Magazine, read this document: What is the Howl?
